**Please remember that our focus is on a late war FJ unit, hence the requirements of Heer-based equipment and the recommendation for making kit items generic, which also gives us the flexibility to portray other units as needed**

****Unit Members are also welcome to purchase appropriate side arms, SMGs, MGs, ordnance and other pieces of equipment. Please understand that their usability however is dependent upon the event/impression (i.e., no use of STG44s in a 1941 event)****

RANK AND AWARDS

Requirements

Awards

Unit Membership/Miendle Cap Badge: Full Basic Impression (Level I) with a minimum of four events attended with six months of active participation. *Time in and eligibility for awards/promotions start AFTER official membership


FJ Jump Wings/Specialty Qualification Badge: Six months membership with a minimum of four events attended. *Certain Trades/Specialties are restricted to only those who meet qualifications on said equipment. For example, Aerial Machine Gunner will be restricted to those who become qualified with the MG, Drivers’ Badge Restricted to those who are qualified to operate unit vehicles, etc.


Trade Badge: Eight months since earning Qualification Badge with a minimum of six events attended since earning Qualification badge. Badge will follow in line of chosen Qualification; i.e.; Flak Badge-Flak Trade Badge; Aerial Radio Operator’s Badge-Signals Trade Badge; etc. Certain Specialty/Trade badges will instead be upgraded to the "senior" version, dependent upon whatever is more correct for that badge.


Ground Assault Badge: Minimum of one year active membership since earning Trade Badge. Minimum of eight events with one being a tactical, or minimum of ten events without a tactical.


Wound Badge: Injured at an event that requires medical attention that is not of your own making or due to own negligence/stupidity (i.e., Dehydration) or pre-existing medical conditions


Ost Front Ribbon: Two cold weather events (freezing temps) of extreme distance (400 mile round trip) or six local events that the temperature remains below or around forty degrees for most of the day.


Tank Destruction Badge: Knock out any type of armored vehicle with handheld ordnance with two witnesses.


All other awards and distinction are based off unit discretion and person's merit.

Ranks

Gefreiter: Must have Specialty Qualification Badge and Trade Badge, with your own weapon, and Level II Kit. Must demonstrate ability in basic drill and tactics.


Obergefreiter: Three years unit membership, minimum of one year since earning Gefreiter. Demonstrate ability to lead drill and tactics in the field.


NCOs are strictly for those in a dedicated position and are appointed by unit leadership after serving a preset amount of time as an NCO Candidate. Dependent on unit needs and availability. Stabsgefreiters can also be appointed.
